Printing environment certification system
First green printing plant certified by the Japan Federation of Printing Industries

NEC Media Products

Date

September 6, 2006

Activity

The printing plant of NEC Media Products has been certified as a green printing plant.

On September 6, the Yokohama Printing Center of NEC Media Products was certified as one of the first green printing certified plants under the green printing (GP) plant certification system established by the Japan Federation of Printing Industries, an industrial group of the printing industry. As an accreditation body, the Japan Federation of Printing Industries approves printing plants that conform to the JFPI's Green Standard for Offset Printing Services (revised in 2006), based on objective evidence. An approval mark ("GP mark") is then printed on products from the certified plants. Although it has already obtained certification, NEC Media Products will strive to further promote eco printing.
