"zero-waste" factory. The "zero-waste" management
target was achieved in April 1996, thanks to plant-wide
recycling efforts.

5. "Green Procurement" Movement Started
The Green Procurement movement, which promotes procurement of environmentally conscious products started in
regards to two main categories, units and components for production use, and stationary, paper and OA equipment for
office use.

In March 1997, "standards for procurement of green products" and "lists of green products" were prepared for a part
of stationary and paper. The standards and lists will be put into effect in mid-June, 1997. For production use, the
guideline in selecting the parts will be first issued intending to establish operation organization.
