Environmental newsletter issued by NECAM
In FY 2009, NEC re-structured its environmental system based on the NEC Corporation of America, Irving, TX, as the control hub of the North American region to systematically and efficiently promote the environmental activities that have previously been individually promoted by North American companies. An environmental committee was established involving the managers in charge of issues relating to the environment who were selected from each company, and environment committee meetings are held regularly. In particular, the global trends regarding the increasingly strict environmental regulations regarding products are shared and the compliance within the North American markets was examined. At the same time, NEC formulated a medium-term environmental plan involving the compliance handling and reduction in the environmental impact of the North American companies and the related activities have been implemented since FY 2009. Through the environmental newsletters issued for improvements in employee awareness, mail distribution, and WEB publication, NEC is aspiring to make reforms in the awareness level of each employee.
