Voice SMS allows end-users to communicate their messages to one or multiple parties, with their personal voices instead of plain SMS text. The users can even add a background tune to the voice message to create greetings for special occasions(background music service). Voice SMS complements mobile operator's legacy SMS service and creates a new market.
What is unique about this service is its ability to let end-users compose, schedule and send voice messages to multiple parties. With “Voice SMS,” an end-user can record a voice message and send it as an outbound message to her friends. When a friend answers the call, the message will be played automatically.
